Note-taking for Science and Engineering
Want to get the most out of your notes? Effective note-taking and revision are essential skills for learning well at university. This workshop covers note-taking for calculation-based subjects, ie. Maths, Science and Engineering courses. You’ll explore practical note-taking strategies to use before, during, and after class. We’ll look at how to take notes in ways that support your understanding, help you stay focused in lectures, and make revision more effective later on. You’ll also learn how to review, organise, and transform your notes outside of class so they become a useful study tool rather than just a record of what was covered. By the end of the session, you’ll have a range of techniques to help you engage more actively with course content, strengthen your understanding of key concepts, and revise with greater confidence. By the end of the session, you’ll have a range of techniques to help you learn more effectively, deepen your engagement with course material, and build a strong understanding of key concepts.
