Adult Students' Academic Orientation
Pre-University Academic Skills Session
Starting out at university? Returning after a long break?
If you are an adult student (20+ years) and have never been to university or have been away from study for some time, then this academic orientation session may be for you!
This three-hour session offers you the chance to boost your confidence and gain key skills for succeeding at university in a friendly environment where you will meet other adult students.The session will:
- help you navigate university courses, systems and services
- give you strategies for effective time management and note-taking
- make you aware of the expectations of academic work
Students attending this orientation may also wish to enrol in the Understanding LEARN workshop, which takes place directly afterwards.
