Report Writing
This workshop will introduce you to the key features of academic report writing. You’ll explore the purpose of academic reports, think about how audience and context shape your writing, and learn the typical structure and expectations of this genre. We’ll also look at practical strategies for writing clear, well-organised, evidence-based paragraphs, and how to integrate figures, tables, and references effectively into your work. You’ll also discover useful editing and revision techniques to strengthen your writing by improving logic, flow, style, clarity, and conciseness. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a stronger understanding of how to plan, structure, and refine an academic report that communicates your ideas clearly.
